- Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore (INDU) is seeking to procure a Greenhouse. GREENHOUSE SPECIFICATIONSContractor's quote must meet or exceed the following specifications. The specifications reflect site restrictions that limit greenhouse width to approximately 45 feet and its length to approximately 75 feet. Frame System"42 X 72 feet with a 10 foot high side wall gutter connected frame capable of withstanding a 30 pound snow load and 90 mile per hour wind."Peak style frame"12 foot column and truss spacing; 7 steel trusses ( two inch square top and bottom chord trusses; bolted with 1.5 inch web members), 14 columns (four inch square, 13 gauge), 12 purlins (2 inch square with purlin runs extending to length of greenhouse)."Fasteners (Nuts, bolts, brace, brands clamps, etc) zinc planted or hot dipped galvanized.o2 inch x 2 inch aluminum cross clamps for purlin attachmentotrusses with cross bracing with additional web bracing to create a truss"1 lot of galvanized steel gutter"1 42 inch x 80 inch insulated steel door with lever style lockset and a 24inch X 24inch tempered glass window. Door hinged to allow swing to the outside. "Double door eight foot X eight foot (two doors 4 foot X 2foot). Door covering of 8mm polycarbonate."Hardware instructionsGreenhouse Cover System"8 mm polycarbonate twin wall cover for roof, sides and ends with aluminum attachment extrusions"Metal sidewall and end wall framing comprised of 2inch x 2inch square galvanized steel tubing.Control System"Control of all equipment with up to five stages of cooling and one stage of heat; digital readout with inclusion of a wiring diagram and contractor panel.Ventilation System"Two 54 inch, single speed fans with slant wall housing with guard and shutter. Fan motors 1 horsepower, 115V, 60HZ and totally enclosed."One 36 inch, single speed, totally enclosed fan with box wall housing, guard and shutter. Fan motor 115v, 60HZ and horsepower."Two heavy duty aluminum fan shutters with motor. "Two interior screens for the fans Versa Vent System"All aluminum frame vent system four feet tall and 35 feet long powered by a lock motor 115v. 60 HZ with limit switches to control the length of travel for the vent.Evaporative Cooling System "Four feet by 35 feet, all aluminum frame evaporative cooling system with an anti-drip design."Evaporative cooling pads comprised of 6 inch cellulose cooling media"An air velocity of 375-425 cubic feet of air per second through the vent is desired.Heaters"Two heaters capable of producing 162,000 BTU/H output."Special heater hanger allowing attachment to the frame."Two heater accessories of a double wall vent pipe, clean out tee and hat flashing"Heaters must be high efficiency, power vented and with spark ignition.Fans"Four fans constructed of stamped aluminum with three vinyl coated blades and with a galvanized jack chain."The fan motors must be 1/15 horsepower, 9 amp, 100 Watt, 115V, and 60 HZ."2000 CFM at 1400 RPM developed in a totally enclosed permanent split capacitor is desired.
