Description
The US Dept of Commerce NOAA / ESRL / PSD requires a contractor to prepare a parking pad for a research weather radar North of the end of Flightline Dr, Lincoln, CA 95648. The exact location of the site is defined by orange cones left by Clark King 2009-11-09. The cones were present 2009-12-04. There is an existing PG&E underground electrical vault about 350 ft North of the end of Flightline Dr that provides a fixed reference to the site. The approximate GPS coordinates of the vault are 38.91503 North, 121.34628 West. The sides of the site are parrallel to and perpendicular to the existing fence line East of the vault. The fence has a heading of about 345 degrees true and is about 70 feet East of the vault. A 12 ft wide driveway about 290 feet long is required. The existing cones that define the driveway are only 10 feet wide and the driveway needs to be 12 feet wide. The driveway parrallels the fence from Flightline Dr for 55 feet, then angles to the center of the South side of the site. We need to be able to get a semi-trailers and cranes to the site. The site and driveway is to be only slightly leveled and vegitation scraped without digging into the ground or removing much soil. The road base should then be put down over the leveled surface. The scraped material can be put just North of the site. The site and driveway must also be surrounded hay tubular pads to filter surface run-off. There need to be three drainage pipes under the driveway, 2 to 3 " diameter, to let any water slowly drain under the driveway. One pipe needs to be near the site, one near the middle of the driveway, and one just North of the bend near Flightline drive. Exact location is not critical. The compacted road base must be 6 inches deep after compacting. My rough estimate of yardage after the compacting is done: 66 ft X 110 ft X 6 inches = 134.4 cubic yards + 12 ft X 290 ft X 6 inches = 64.4 cubic yards ------ about 200 cubic yards Amendment 3 : Offerors shall acknowledge all three amendments by providing a statement with the proposal
