Description
RECOVERY THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THE NASA DRYDENFLIGHT RESEARCH CENTER (DFRC) HAS BEEN AUTHORIZED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY ANDREINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 TO ISSUE A TASK ORDER TO THE BOEING COMPANY UNDER CONTRACTNND07AA08B FOR ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THE DRYDEN FLIGH REARCH CENTER(DFRC) RESEARCH AND OPERATIONS AIRCRAFT.DFRC intends to issue Task Order NND10BO13T entitled: Development and Delivery of a SpareF/A-18 Production Support Flight Control Computer (PSFCC) Shipset. Task Order NND10BO13Tis to provide NASA- DFRC with building, testing, documentation, and deliver of aproduction support flight control computer (PSFCC) shipset using spare Flight ComputerCards from NASAs F-15 aircraft NASA 837 obtained from NASA Dryden Flight Research Center(DFRC). This task order is wholly funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)of 2009 and as such is subject to all requirements imposed by the legislation. Theserequirements are mandatory and are subject to monitoring and auditing by the Governmentthroughout the contract performance period. A contract modification has been issued toadd American Recovery and Reinvestment ActReporting Requirements to the contract. The Boeing Engineering and Technical Support for the DFRC Research and OperationsAircraft contract NND07AA08B was awarded on a non-competitive basis. Boeings unique andproprietary capabilities to provide the required services involving the F/A-18, F-15,C-17, and other Dryden operated aircraft, which Boeing designed, built, and extensivelytested. Boeing possesses the detailed knowledge of all aspects of these vehicles, whichis unavailable to another firm. The DFRC test aircraft are unique one of a kind custommodified vehicle in which standard modification drawings do not necessarily apply. Boeing has the proprietary specification and drawings, as well as unique personnel withthe knowledge and history on these aircraft. Boeing has unique experience in themanufacture of the aircraft modifications made to the test aircraft.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.This announcement will not result in a request for proposal; this announcement is forinformational purposes only.
