Description
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASCERTAIN WEBSITE ADDRESS TO DOWNLOAD PROJECT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT DETAILS. This announcement does not constitute the solicitation. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available to download on the National Business Center website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) without further notice on or about August 9, 2010. In the solicitation the National Park Service (NPS) will request proposals for the completion of Archeological Overview and Assessment (AOA) Projects for each one of the following parks: the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, New Bedford, Massachusetts; the Roger Williams National Memorial, Providence, RI; the Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown, MA; and the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, Brookline, MA. An Archeological Overview (AOA) is a required NPS archeological planning document that describes and assesses the known and potential archeological resources of a park. The AOA must describe known and potential pre-contact and historic period archeological resources, identify their temporal context and estimated level of significance, and recommend whether National Register (NR) listing should also be sought. The contractor must prepare draft and final versions of the AOA report and complete NPS Archeological Site Information System (ASMIS) site forms and Massachusetts Historical Commission archeological site forms. There will be an opportunity for multiple awards on this solicitation. Offerors may submit proposals on one or more of these four projects. Performance period will differ for each park and will be specified in their respective Statement of Work. NAICS code 541990. The small business size standard is $7 M. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation is a Best Value Request for Proposal and offers shall be evaluated on the responses to the following criteria in addition to price: Past performance; soundness of proposal; knowledge, skills and experience of key project personnel; and demonstrated ability to provide services in a timely and efficient manner. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issuance of solicitation.
