Description
RFP: VA-261-10-RP-0207 Due: August 6, 2010 (est.), Request for Proposal (RFP) - California Workers Comp Claims Identification and Collection for VA Palo Alto Health Care System. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for identification of California Workers compensation cases in which the VA, as a medical lien claimant under the California Labor Code may obtain reimbursement for medical care provided to injured workers. Upon identification, the contractor will proceed with collection efforts and will be entitled to a share of the collection proceeds. Contractor must maintain computerized access to a database which provides filing information to identify California Worker Comp claims. This effort will support the VA Office of General Counsel for California located VA facilities. The NAICS code is 561440, size standard of $7.0 million applies. Product Service code of R705 applies. The actual solicitation should be posted on or about July 27, 2010; this is a presolicitation announcement for informational purposes only. This is estimated to be a five year requirement. The intent for this RFP is to proceed with a full an open procurement; market research did not indicate any VOSB/SDVOSB firms with collection experience in accordance with California Labor Code. However should one or more capable VOSB/SDVOSB firms make an inquiry, this requirement may be set aside accordingly. Telephone requests will NOT be accepted. Electronic solicitation may be accessed at no cost at www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendment issued against this solicitation will also be available from the same URL addresses. Contractor is responsible for submitting all documents required in accordance with the solicitation, including any amendments which will be posted on this website. Quotations shall be submitted on an all or nothing basis. Partial quotations will be rejected. Quotations shall be valid for 60 days from offer due date.
