Description
Description: This synopsis is to announce that the Warner Robins Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC) Robins AFB, GA, intends to solicit and negotiate, on a sole source basis, services to perform repair of specified ALQ-131 Components. Quantities will be included for the specific NSNs as follows: NSN Nomenclature Total Qty 5340-01-413-9275 EW Aft Cover 10ea 5340-01-413-8311 EW Forward Cover 8 ea The Government intends to solicit Omohundro Company, 14792 Franklin Ave, Tustin CA, 92780 for the services described herein. CAGE code 33747. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The instant contract is anticipated to be awarded as a one time definite quantity type instrument with provisions for Firm Fixed Price repair Contract Line Items (CLINs). The approximate award date is 30 September 2010. A solicitation will be issued on or about 23 July 2010. This synopsis is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government or as a Request for Proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting a Statement of Capabilities to Mr. Levi Lord at levi.lord@robins.af.mil. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete the instant contract based upon an assessment of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors not sufficiently addressed by the Contracting Officer. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation or selection process.
