Description
Amendment to respond to questions provided in regards to this solicitation. The answers to the questions stated below will be used to assist potential bidders to better understand the Government's requirement. A new due date will be issued, ending on July 27th, 2010. 1) The announcement says "8 virus suspensions (each lot=400 vials) in Vero or SPF eggs." However, the SOW states 500-2500 vials will be requested. Answer - The delivery of a minimum of 400-500 vials will be enough to meet the Government's requirement. 2) In section III, Deliverables and Reporting Requirements, virus suspensions and cell lines are included, but the SOW does not specify including qualified cell line production. Please clarify. Answer - No new qualified cell line will need to be produced. NIH has a qualified Vero cell line that will be provided to the company to use for this virus production. 3) Is there a proposed start date and duration to complete all eight (8) virus suspensions? Answer - The start date for production will be as soon as possible, likely after a pre-IND meeting. NIH would like to shoot for September or October. The time line should be approximately 6 months to produce 1 virus after we supply each seed stock. So if NIH were to make a few viruses a year, this would occur over a 2-5 year period.
