- Description
- Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) located in Orlando, FL under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) - Only One Reasonable Source and No Other Supplies or Service will satisfy agency requirements - plans to issue a sole source modification to Cubic Worldwide Technical Services to extend services for the period of performance beginning 1 October 2010 up until no later than 30 September 2011. This increase is necessary in order to continue support while a follow-on task order is awarded under the Fielded Training Systems Support III (FTSS III) Multiple Award Contract. The task order is for Firm Fixed Priced Contract Operation and Maintenance and Instruction Services (COMS and CIS) for CNATT, Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific Fleet (CNAF West) and Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic Fleet (CNAF East) at Marine Corps aviation training sites located throughout the United States, including MCAS Miramar, CA, MCAS Camp Pendleton, CA, MCAS Yuma, AZ, MCBH Kaneohe Bay, HI, MCAS New River, NC, MCAS Cherry Point, NC, and MCAS Beaufort, SC. This action will result in a firm fixed priced contract with optional periods to extend services through 30 September 2011, if a full 12-month extension is necessary. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract modification is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. Any firms believing that they can provide these services may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 9 August 2010. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality and reliability of the services provided and without causing an interruption of critical services. The firm's response should also illustrate how it can overcome the start-up costs necessary to assume this effort in the period of performance that this synopsis represents. The point of contact for this action is Marcia Coleman 407-380-4966.
