Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Ion Torrent Systems San Francisco, CA 94080 for (1 ea ) Ion Personal Genome Machine (PGM) and components to be delivered to USGS, Leetown Science Center, 11649 Leetown Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430. There are no options for this requirement. Ion Torrent Systems is the only known source for this requirement because Ion Torrent Systems, South San Francisco, CA, is the only company (worldwide) that produces and markets a semiconductor-based sequencer and is the only supplier of semiconductor sequencing chips. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). FAX response to 703.648.7367 or email to: abenton@usgs.gov. The NAICS code is 541711. The anticipated award date of the contract is 07/30/2010. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract. See Numbered Note 22.
