Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a total small business set-aside. This solicitation number is RFQ1668257and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on behalf of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has a requirement for a 64-channel data acquisition system which includes 16 channels of analog I/O, 24 bits of digital I/O, two legacy optical inputs for Medusa PreAmps, and an onboard LCD for system status display. The system must be able to handle large data streams and be compatible with existing on-line and off-line software for spike sorting and data analysis. Additional items needed include the following: (1) 64 channel preamplifier (2) Optical PCI express Card for Optibit Interface (3) Multichannel software for design, acquisition, and analysis (4) Open Developer Suite (5) Open Sorter Software (6) Open Ext Package for Multi-Channel Neural Recording Offerors will be evaluated on their ability to meet technical qualifications. Delivery is to Bethesda, MD in 8 to 10 weeks. Quotations are to be sent electronically to larochek@mail.nih.gov. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Condition Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
