ADDENDUM #1 This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and is issued for the purpose of changing the scope of work of this project and/or provides additional essential information. Acknowledge receipt of Addendum in the space provided on the Bid Form. Item # 1: Insure the normal power service to the cafeteria is adequately sized to handle the 200 amp emergency panels. Upgrade if necessary. Item # 2: Upgrade all wiring, as necessary, to handle the increased loads going from the existing 30kw generator to the new 60kw generator. This would include increasing the wire size form the transfer switch to the emergency panel. The new wiring should be capable of handling 200 amps, which the generator circuit breaker is rated at. The larger wire could then require larger conduit from the transfer switch to the emergency panel. Item # 3: It is recommended to provide two automatic transfer switches. One for emergency (i.e. emergency / exit lighting, etc) and one for non-emergency loads such as cooking equipment, walk-in coolers / freezers, ansul fire suppression system, and kitchen exhaust fans and air intake fans. Item # 4: Fuel tank capacity should allow operation of generator for a minimum of 72 hours. Item # 5: The bid opening date has been extended to Thursday,, August 19, 2010 at 10:30 AM.
