Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Jacksonville, Florida intends to issue a brand name set-aside Request for Proposal (RFP) to GE certified sources of repair. The required services consist of repair of the TF34 Bevel Gear in accordance with instructions within part number 4048T27 drawings from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) General Electric. General Electric is the sole manufacturer with proprietary rights. Instructions for this repair are not available in the DEPOT maintenance manuals. The prints are only releasable to GE certified sources of repair. The proposed contract action is for supplies and/or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(c). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information provided.
