- RFP with all requirements and specifications for the project. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation (other than the document attached hereto) will not be issued. The National Gallery of Art (NGA), located in Washington, DC, hereby seeks proposals for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to replace existing stair assemblies in various locations at the National Gallery of Art. The attached RFP document includes further details of the NGA's requirements and pricing/payment information in addition to the above summary. The NGA requests proposals for goods and services in compliance with these requirements, which will be evaluated according to the terms of the attached RFP document, Sections L & M. The NGA reserves the right not to award a contract which does not comply with the requirements of this notice and the attached RFP document. Delivery of goods and services shall be made FOB destination to the NGA at 6th St. and Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20565. A mandatory site visit is schedule for interested firms at 10:00am EST, August 12, 2010. The meeting place will be the National Gallery of Art's West Building Service Entrance and the site visit will begin promptly at 10:00am EST. If you intend to submit a proposal in response to this RFP, you must attend this mandatory site visit. Please RSVP to the CO at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled site visit time. The Drawings, which are referenced as an attachment in Section J of this RFP, will be provided at the site visit. All vendors who submit a proposal must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, which incorporates by reference, the following FAR clauses: 52.203-6 Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government (Alt 1, OCT 1995); 52.219-6, Utilization of Small Business Concerns (May 2004); 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration (Oct 2003). By submitting a proposal in response to this RFP, the vendor warrants that any goods or services provided to the Gallery in satisfaction of this requirement are fit for the ordinary purposes for which they were designed, as well as the particular purpose(s) specified in the RFP, and any additional purposes as represented by the vendor. Offerors are responsible for having read and complied with this synopsis as well as the full RFP, which is attached hereto and available upon request submitted to the NGA CO. All responsible sources may submit a proposal by mail, FAX, or e-mail, which shall be considered by the Gallery.
