- Description
- NAVAIR intends to negotiate and award a contract for the FY12 Tomahawk Depot Requirements. The requirement is for Depot Maintenance and Repairs of Tomahawk Block II and III All-Up-Round (AUR) missiles and non-warranty repairs for Block IV AURs. Requirements include the Recertification of Block II/III AURs, recertification range anticipated to be fifty (50)-two hundred (200); Acquisition of Depot repair and scheduled maintenance for Block II/III and Block IV AUR repairs/maintenance (not covered under Block IV production warranty); Refurbishment of Functional Ground Test (FGT) missiles and Blk IV Production Acceptance Test (PAT) missiles; Refurbishment and repair of Recovery Exercise Modules (REMs), Range Safety Systems (RSSs), Government Furnished Property (GFP); Cannibalization of Block II/III/IV AURs; Pre/post flight operations, operational flight support, and related maintenance; Flight abort/anomaly/failure analysis; Unscheduled maintenance or 'over and above' work for all missile variants and repair of components; Spares and/or replacement components, including rotable pool assets; Maintenance and support of the Guidance Test Sets (GTS), GFP, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) i.e., labs, Special Tooling, and Special Test Equipment; Simulations and maintenance of simulation software and data; Remanufacture of Composite Capsule Launching System Capsules; Repair and upgrade of Government test/support equipment hardware/software; Magazine storage; Procurement of RSSs & REMs; Service Life Assessment Program; Technical and administrative data and documentation; Preparing and conducting training courses; Related Engineering Support Services, integrated logistics services and other related effort. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Company, 1151 E Hermans Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756-9367. Since 1994, Raytheon has been the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the Tomahawk All-Up-Round (AUR). The Government owns the Block II/III missile Technical Data Package (TDP) while Raytheon maintains and controls all manufacturing and process documentation for the Block II/II missile TDP. RMS owns, maintains and controls both the TDP and the manufacturing data/documentation for the Block IV missile. Because of this and the fact that Raytheon is also the only known source possessing the requisite, as well as, the equipment and technical expertise and interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapons System, Raytheon is the only source capable of accomplishing these requirements in the required timeframe. Those parties interested in subcontracting effort, inclusive of small business should make contact with one of the listed POCs. Note 22
