- Project work shall consist of furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation equipment, demoltion, and all other work required to renovate/repair Building 423 at Nellis Air Force Base, NV. Project scope includes the repair and reconfiguration of existing facility to function as an aircraft Data Lab and Flight Test Lab with offices, multi-use rooms, a secured storage vault, and a security office. The FTI workshop includes an open shop area for maintenance and storage of instrument pods, a parts/tool room, an instrument pod test room, a classified pod maintenance room, offices, and secured storage room. A portion of the facility will be renovated to house administration functions for 53 EWG. Large portions of facility will be built to meeti JAFAN 6/9 CONUS requirements for Special Access Program Facilities. Existing Building 423 area is approximately 19,500 SF and facility is a single story load-bearing masonry structure atop a reinforced concrete slab on grade. Substantial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire exterior work is required. Complete project construction documents will be provided to bidders. The Period of Performance for this project is 300 Calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. *** Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. *** Magnitude: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 11 August 2010, on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web page. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Registration may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
