Description
Specification This is a Request for Information (RFI) and NOT A SOLICITATION. The purpose of this project is to acquire information from industry regarding the capabilities for a Sulfur Hexafluoride(SF6) Detection Infrared Camera. The Government will use the information gathered in response to this RFI to refine the acquisition strategy and prepare the Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFI is directed to competitive potential prime contractors who have demonstrated experience/ capability in the production of a Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) Detection Infrared Camera. The capabilities are very specific and only those vendors capable of meeting the requirements listed in section 3 of the attached specification need reply. The Government seeks the following information as a minimum: a. Provide information concerning the technical capabilities of the product you are interested in offering, including commercial literature/brochures and warranty. Describe any awards you have been involved in that are the same as or similar to what is being described in this RFI including statements of work or reports which outline the work accomplished. These must be detailed enough to demonstrate the capability required of section 3 of the attached specification. Include any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess your firm's capabilities. b. State whether offeror is a small or large business, and indicate if the company is a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, veteran owned, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), or a historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) small business. c. Advise if your product is a commercial item and how long you can hold pricing if quotes are requested. d. Advise if you have the item on a GSA schedule or other Government contract include the front page of schedule and the page showing the part is on award. e. Provide a point of contact, include phone number and email address. f. Provide assigned Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. g. Advise how much time you would need to submit a technical proposal if a solicitation is issued. h. Provide an estimated price. i. Provide an estimated time frame for delivery after contract award. Note: FAR Clause 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) applies as follows: a. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. b. Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. Proprietary information or trade secrets should be clearly identified.
