- Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to procure via limited competition, hardwaremaintenance support services for Sole Make and Model IBM Brand System X3650 IT Servers.These servers are currently supported by an IBM Premium Support services contract, whichprovides the following: 1) the best response times available, with the capability ofexpanding the support hours of operation to compliment our requirement, 2) includes allmaintenance plan services plus 24x7 Critical, Production Server Down Support, and 3) acommitment to respond to critical / highly important issues, within four (4) businesshours of support center notification. The performance period for each line item willcover a 24 month period, with staggered starting and ending dates. The contract periodwill commence on, 15 Nov 2010 and end on, 29 Nov 2014. (See attached Equipment Listprovided with the Request for Quotation document for details). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested firms have until 16 July 2010, 4:00 PM CDST to submit proposals to theidentified point of contact, the attached Request for Quotation, and all associated paperwork per the special instructions. Responses received after 16 July 2010, 4:00 PM CDSTwithout the required information will be considered as non-responsive to thesynopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Arcata Associates,Inc. to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis, basedupon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Arcata Associates, IncThis announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per theattached Request for Quote (RFQ). Also attached are the Arcata Associates Representationand Certifications and Terms and Conditions which must be completed in order for thevendor to be considered as responsive. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of anyamendments, and clarifying questions and answers.
