- This notice is provided for information purposes only. NASA LaRC intends to issue atask order to Science System and Application, Inc. (SSAI) against the contract entitled'Science, Technology, and Research Support Services (STARRS), contract number NNL07AA00C,in support of creating a model diagnostics package based on satellite cloud observationsto support the joint effort (at Langley Research Center (LaRC), Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL),Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) and Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)) toimprove cloud and convection representation in the NASA GISS model and the NASA GSFCGlobal Modeling and Assimilation office (GMAO) global model. This announcement will notresult in a Request for Proposal; this announcement is for informational purposes only. An ombudsman has been appointed--See NASA Specific Note 'B'.
