- U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command intends to issue a contract to Research Systems Incorporated, DBA ITT Visual Information Systems, Boulder, Co through contract W91260-10-P-0021 pursuant to the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) as implemented by FAR Parts 6.3, 12 and 13.501(a) Sole Source Acquisitions. Research Systems Incorporated, DBA ITT Visual Information Systems will be providing one (1) year ENVI Software Maintenance Support renewal for US. Army SMDC/ARSTRAT G2 MASINT AGI Branch, Peterson AFB, Colorado. The period of performance for this effort will be 1 Sep 2010 through 31 Aug 2011. The proposed contract action is for ENVI software maintenance and technical support renewal for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. There is only responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Research Systems Incorporated, DBA ITT Visual Information Systems manufactured this software and is sole source provider of the ENVI software maintenance and support. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPSALS. Responses should be emailed to Marie Tornai at marie.tornai@smdc-cs.army.mil. All interested parties must submit a capability statement that sufficiently describes their qualifications, capabilities, and previous experience related to fulfilling similar requirements. Interested parties must respond no later than 6 Jul 2010, 1100 hrs MST. Only services meeting the Governments requirements will be considered.
