- RECOVERY - This project is funded in whole by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The intent of this project is to construct all phases for the 20-people dormitory building that will provide sleeping quarters, restroom, dining, and living facilities to volunteers, students, and visiting scientists working at the Luquillo Experimental Forest and the reconstruction of the woodshop/multipurpose building in Sabana. The woodshop building reconstruction includes the demolition and salvage of materials, construction of masonry and reinforced concrete walls and all finishes necessary to make the building accessible and safe. Both constructions include the installation, connection and certification of communication system (data/voice), fire, electrical and plumbing systems and facilities. The work also includes construction of accessible ramps, data and voice connections to communication room, drainage structures and site grading and best management practice for erosion control and sedimentation. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located in Luquillo, Puerto Rico in Sabana Ward County. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY.
