- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Carestream Health Molecular Imaging Systems, 4 Research Drive, Woodbridge, CT 06525, for Image Station 4000MM Pro + PC, Kodak Image station, with the following technical specifications: Camera: Type Monochrome interlined CCD, CCD 2048 x 2048 pixels, 4 million pixels, Lens Automated 10x zoom, 20 - 200mm, f2.4; Illumination: Fluorescence Selectable multiwavelength epi-illumination, Xenon White Light Trans/epi-white light included; Standard Filters: Excitation, 25mm (ex390, ex430, ex470, ex530, ex550, ex610, ex630, ex710, ex730), Emission em535WA, em600WA, em700WA, em790WA: Performance: Imaging Area 2x2 cm to 20x20 cm, continuous zoom, Dynamic Range >4.0 orders of magnitude, Data Acquisition 16-bit single capture, n-bit data acquisition; Computer Interface: IEEE 1394 (FireWire)Windows 2000/XP and Macintosh OSX compatible; Software: Molecular Imaging Software; Computer: Desktop P4 3Ghz, 1 GB SRDRAM, 80GB, CD & CD-RW, 17-inch LCD display. Includes user guides, on-site installation and training. Quantitative imaging of luminescent, multi-wavelength fluorescent, radiographic and colorimetric-labeled biomolecules in a variety of formats including blots, electrophoresis gels, Petri plates and microtiter plates; thermo-electrically cooled CCD camera with digital image acquisition at 16-bits per capture and n-bit image file/data accumulations; closed loop cooking system maintaining constant low temperature below -28C and is not dependent on ambient laboratory conditions; interlined CCD sensor with 4 megapixel resolution, sample imaging area (min) = 2x2 cm; sample imaging area (max) = 20x20 cm; providing enclosed optical path and protects the camera and imaging path from laboratory environment contamination; minimizing distance from the camera to the sample, reducing signal scatter and increasing detection sensitivity and quantitative accuracy; selectable multi-wavelength illumination providing a choice of optimal excitation light for a wide range of fluorochromes and sample types; selectable multi-wavelength fluorescence from blue to near IR (370nm-770nm); 10-position filter slider; automated 4-position emission filter wheel; proprietary Wide Angle Emission filters which eliminates common imaging artifacts; greater dynamic range in luminescent imaging; white light imaging using ambient light for use with colorimetric gels and assays. CDC believes this requirement can be met by only one source. Will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
