Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for 1 each on-site support package to include onsitesystem engineer, travel and living expenses; 1.8m Quick Deploy Antenna, (Model 1189)including 4 piece reflector with tripod base mount hard cases; QDA KuBand Feed, 2 Portlinkear, X-Pol, WR75, 39 deg; QDA/RDA Feed Case 19 1/4 X 15 1/2X7 1/2 1189 quick deploybuc mounting kit (brackets to hold Buc to feed horn - flex twist as needed); Pointingtool kit 1189 quick deploy pointing tool kit including handheld GPS & Electronic Compass,handheld digital inclinometer.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from ViaSat only. The decision was made to gowith Viasat was because this company was the only one found that could offer training onthe S2 Modem which is a part of the portable satellite terminal. The permanent satelliteterminal was purchased from Viasat.Authority is FAR 13.106B(1) Only one responsible source.This procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will theGovernment pay for the information solicited.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon July 15, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
