- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability and capability of small businesses included certified 8(a), Small Disadvantaged, and HUBZone firms, veteran and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and women owned small businesses to fulfill the requirements as listed in the below Performance Work Statement under the NAICS Code 624190. This notice is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, Solicitation, Request for Quotes, or an indication that the Government will contract for the items contained herein. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this sources sought. Any responses received will not be used as a proposal. FORT DIX is ONLY seeking sources, for informational purposes only, to provide the requirements as listed in the below Performance Work Statement. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be emailed to the attention of maureen.e.coughlin@us.army.mil by 4:30 PM on 6 July 2010. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date and all interested parties must respond to this announcement. A response to the sources sourght synopsis is NOT a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, transportation, and supervision required to provide personnel for the CARs Army Strong Community Center (ASCC) Pilot Program. ASCCs will be located at various types of facilities (e.g. VA/VET Center, American Legion/VFW Facility, Army Forces Reserve Center, etc) in order to determine which venues of community-based support center are effective ways to provide services for Military Families who are geographically dispersed. Reason this program is needed Military families, especially geographically dispersed Reserve Component (RC) Families, often live far from a military installation. One way to provide services commensurate with those available at a military installation is through a community-based family support center. This contract would help determine the best venues for establishing ASCCs for those dispersed families. Army Strong Community Centers have different locations a total of 6. The work encompasses 6 Army Reserve locations throughout the US with numerous personnel needed to meet these mission requirements. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 10/21/10-10/20/11 12 months, with one year option.
