- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is unrestricted procurement. This is a notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Center Drive, Foster City, CA 94404. This requirement is for items listed in CLINs 0001through 0003, for U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, Dugway, Utah. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304-(c) (1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, supplies, services and / or equipment are available from one responsible source and no other type of supplies, services and / or equipment will satisfy agency requirements. The U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, Directorate of Contracting is contemplating the procurement of the following items: 1. One each (1EA) 7500 Fast Real Time PCR Upgrade Kit - needs to include: 1) chemical installation kit with calibration dye plates and RNaseP verification plates; 2) starter kit with 18S ribosomal RNA gene expression assay, fast PCR master mix and cDNA; 3) Instrument operation and analysis software - ver 1.4; 4) installation and warranty service by a trained service engineer. (Part Number: 4362143). 2. Three each (3EA) Assy, 7900HT FAST 96-Well Block Upgrade - The FAST 96-well block upgrade kit allows owners of fast enabled 7900HT real-time PCR instruemmnts to utilize the fast capability for gene expression.( Part Number: 4351402). 3. Shipping charge.. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Submit written offers on RFQ W911S6-10-T-0030. All firms responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6665. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3826. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) is 334511. Size standard is 750 Employees.
