- DESCRIPTION: Contractor will be required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment and materials necessary to remove and replace existing lighting fixtures and wiring with energy efficient lighting upgrades at Cranberry Mountain Nature Center. This project is located on the Gauley Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest, Pocahontas County, West Virginia. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. DIRECTIONS TO SITE: Beginning at the intersection of US 219 and US 33 in Elkins, WV, proceed south toward Marlinton, WV on US 219 approximately 56.6 miles. Turn right on the Highland Scenic Highway (WV-150) and proceed 22.4 miles to the intersection of WV-39. The Center is located at the intersection of WV-150 and WV-39. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND SITE VISIT INFORMATION: The period of performance is 90 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. A site showing will take place July 17, 2010 at 9:00 AM at the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center, directions shown above. SET-ASIDE: This project is set aside for small business. BONDING INFORMATION: Contractor will be required to furnish 100% Payment Protection in the form of a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit to the USDA, Forest Service within 10 calendar days of the date it receives notice of award. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-3434-10-0024 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Quotations and will be available for downloading on or around July 14, 2010. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor.
