Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): TONY VACCA CONSTRUCTION, INC., W912PL-10-D-0005, TASK ORDER 0002 This is not a solicitation. The Los Angeles District has a requirement to provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to perform the following work at the Athletic Center at Fort Irwin, CA: Install two (2) new Hot Tubs: a.Each tub to accommodate 15 personnel at one time. b.Be able to maintain a temperature of 104 degrees in the open area with ambient temperature of 32 degrees. c.Locate between Troop Pool and fitness center. d.Provide concrete footing and floor area. e.Provide shop drawing and work plan for approval. Repair Men/Women Showers & Lockers Building No. 328. a. Remove existing doors and replace with hollow metal exterior doors, hardware, and ADA compliant handles. Lock sets to be Best 7-pin cores e-series. Paint with manufactured recommended paint. b.Remove and replace existing roofing material with new single ply roof membrane systems that meet cool roof standards. (Dur-O-Last or equal 20 year life span) c. Repair the existing roof sheathing, as needed. (assume up to 25% required) d.Exterior siding shall be EIFES system. Style and color shall match the Memorial Fitness Center Building 322. e.Repair front office area by performing general repairs to the wall areas. f.Provide wall mounted exhaust fans in shower areas to remove steam and moisture. Provide at least 2.5 air changes per hour air changes. g.Replace existing windows with new triple pane, laminated reinforced, low emissive aluminum windows.. Install and reinforce window units per Class II blast resistant guidelines. h.Provide high efficiency fluorescent waterproof light fixtures to replace existing fixtures. Light fixtures shall be recessed in low ceiling area and surface mounted in open truss area. Include automatic occupancy sensors with override and wall switch. i.Remove existing flooring and provide ceramic tile flooring. Walls shall be painted with a 54 wide ceramic tile wainscot in toilet area. In shower area the ceramic tile wainscot shall be 6 ft high above ff. All grout to be sealed. Repair Guard Office Building No. 327 a.Remove and replace existing exterior doors with hollow metal doors, hardware, and ADA compliant handles. Paint in accordance with manufacturers recommendation. b.Convert the vending machine area into an additional office area separate from the existing area. Provide electrical wall outlets, ceiling lights, and air supply. c.Install a new thru wall high efficiency motel type heat pump HVAC system sufficient to maintain room temperature at 78 F summer @ 115 degree F ambient temperature and 65 F winter temperature at 32 degree F ambient temperature. One located in the new office area and one in the converted vending machine area. d.Remove and replace existing roofing material with new single ply roof membrane systems that meet cool roof standards and repair the existing sheathing as needed. e.Replace the existing mechanical system with an efficient boiler system that will support the mens and womans shower facility in Building 328. Boiler room is located in Bldg 327. f.Exterior siding shall be EIFES system. Style and color shall match the Memorial Fitness Center Building 322. g.Provide new low glare, high efficiency fluorescent recessed light fixtures parabolic lens in the office areas and surface mounted in open ceiling and storage areas. h.Flooring shall be ceramic tile with matching wall base. i.Provide new painting for wall surfaces.
