- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB). The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (small veteran owned business or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NACIS 446130 (size standard of $7 Million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. Service Area Office (SAO) East-8, Service Center 7, North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG), Gainesville, FL is seeking responsible sources for a potential contract to provide prescription eyeglasses and associated optical dispensary services onsite and four additional out-patient clinics. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, and business size pursuant to the following status: (1) certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, (2) certified Veteran Owned Small Business. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed or faxed to Clifford Snipe, Contract Specialist, SAO East-8, Acquisition Service Center 7 (NF/SG), Gainesville, FL 32608; FAX 352 381-5746; E-mail address: clifford.snipe@va.gov and jonathan.latson@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 3:00 p.m. EDT July 9, 2010. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
