- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS POSESSING A GSA AIMS Schedule (SIN 541-4D) The Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is seeking events management and facilitation services to support training courses to educate staff from the offices of state attorneys general and others about the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996. OCR is seeking to contract an Events Management service provider, “Contractor” to plan, manage and facilitate three (3) two-day trainings in late 2010. OCR is inviting staff from State Attorneys General offices from all 50 states and territories. OCR anticipates approximately 50 participants to attend each of the three trainings. Among other federal resources, OCR is considering the following sites for these trainings in geographically dispersed locations : o Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Eastern Management Development Center (EMDC) in Shepherdstown, WV; o OPM Western Management Development Center in Aurora, CO; o Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Global Communications Center in Atlanta, GA; and o An undetermined location in Washington, DC. The training seminars will be conducted beginning in September, 2010 and no later than November 30, 2010. The Contractor will work alongside OCR personnel and the training developer, who has been engaged to develop the course curriculum and training materials to support the training needs for the State Attorneys General.
