- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. It is the Governments intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for the following commercial off-the-shelf hardware: Item 1) Processor Unit 1.66GHZ, 2GB, Part Number: 9800-07060-9030, Qty. 5; Item 2) Display Unit, Part Number: 9800-07090-9007, Qty. 5; Item 3) Keyboard Unit, Part Number: 9800-07010-9005, Qty. 5; Item 4) DB20 Hard Disk Drive 160gb, Part Number: 9800-13900-0000, Qty. 5; Item 5) Battery, Part Number: 9800-07620-9017, Qty. 5; Item 6) US Power Adapter, Part Number: 9900-13290-0000, Qty. 5; This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is W31P4Q-10-T-0193. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, the clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Delivery of the commercial hardware will be made FOB Destination to US Army RDECOM, SED, RDMR-BAT (ATTN: Hau Vu), Building 6263, Hackberry Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5260. This requirement is intended to be sole source to DRS Tactical Systems, 1110 Hibiscus Blvd W, Melbourne, FL 32901-2704. DRS Tactical Systems is the only supplier of the above components for the RVS-330 Rugged Vehicle System (JV5). Authority Cited: Statutory Authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition for this requirement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by paragraphs 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) entitled- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. However, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. In the event that multiple offers are received, award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer. Offerors should include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer.
