Description
The Veterans Affairs Procurement and Contracting office in Minneapolis, MN VISN 23, contracting for VAMC Minneapolis has a requirement for Fire Suppression Services. The (MVAMC) Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a campus at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 it is 133.75 acre facility located on a federal campus with 41 buildings. All patient care buildings are fully sprinklered and staff quarters have been equipped with smoke detectors. Fort Snelling National Cemetery (FSNC), 7601 34th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55450 is located three and one-half miles from the VAMC facilities and is a 433 acre, developed and undeveloped campus, comprised of eight (8) +buildings. The Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center (MVAMC) is soliciting proposal(s) from responsible contractors that provide commercial fire suppression services. Contract period is from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011 with four (1) one year renewal option. Contractor shall furnish all necessary personnel, labor, supervision, transportation, analysis, equipment and reports necessary to MVAMC in providing equipment and labor for 24/7/365 fire suppression services with The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) Code is 922160. The contractor must possess all licenses and permits required to provide the services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This solicitation is for full and open competition. All qualified offers are invited to provide their proposals. Offers, including options, shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable pricing, technical competency, and satisfactory past performance. The Government anticipates award of a commercial item contract to the offeror whose offer provides the best value to the Government. Award will be made utilizing the Best Value Method as outlined in FAR subpart 15.101, and a combination of FAR part 12, 15, and 17 award procedures. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about July 12, 2010 and will be issued via Fed Biz Ops Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain amendments. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. They may be sent by email only to: timothy.wilson@.va.gov. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted. Proposals must be submitted in writing to the issuing office, be in accordance with the proposal preparation instructions outlined in the solicitation, and be timely. No web based offers will be accepted. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 922160 with no size standard.
