- The contract resulting from this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the abatement of the Denver Newsome Landslide emergency project in McDowell, Floyd County, KY. The work to be performed under the contract will consist of: mobilization and demobilization of equipment and labor; site preparation; material excavation and placement in an off-site waste area; gabion retaining wall installation; rock backfill installation; surface and subsurface drainage control installation; site regrading and revegetation of all disturbed areas; and restoration of driveways and roadways. The estimated price range is $150,000 - 250,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition in 237990. The small business size standard is $33.5M. A MANDATORY PREBID CONFERENCE IS SCHEDULED FOR 10:00 AM ON JULY 12, 2010. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE TO MEET AT THE BP GAS STATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTES 122 AND 680 IN MINNIE, NEAR MCDOWELL, FLOYD COUNTY, KY. Bids will be opened on July 19, 2010. An original hard copy of the completed and signed IFB along with a 20 % Bid Bond, Section K Reps and Certs and the AML Contractor Information Form are due at the depository in 3 Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 on July 19, 2009 @ 2:00 pm. Electronic and/or faxed bids will not be accepted. Contractors doing business with the Government are required to have a DUNs number, register in the Central Contractor Registration at ccr.gov data base and complete on line representations and certifications at orca.bpn.gov.
