- Description
- The Coronado National Forest, Tucson, AZ, is soliciting quotes (RFQ) for removal and reconstruction services required to rebuild approximately 3.47 miles of four strand barbed/smooth wire fence near Deer Creek and Skeleton Canyon on the Douglas Ranger District. With the exception of concrete and water, all new fencing materials shall be supplied by the Forest Service. The new fence materials will be delivered on-site by the Forest Service. The contractor is responsible for the delivery of the concrete and water. Excess construction materials shall be removed from the fence line by the contractor and placed in an area, determined by the Forest Service, to be picked up for future use by the Government. Old fencing material shall be removed by the contractor as work progresses and disposed of or recycled in an appropriate and approved manner. No unused materials, old or new, shall remain anywhere along the fence line. Usable 4X4 roads exist to access a small section on the north end in Deer Creek and part of the southern section in Skelton Canyon. These roads can be used to transport supplies and as drop points for equipment, personnel, etc. No ATV or any other type of OHV shall be allowed except on existing roads within the Forest boundary. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The actual solicitation will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website fbo.gov on or after July 22, 2010. Interested vendors will need to download the complete solicitation package at that time. NO hardcopies will be provided. A guided site visit will be conducted the week of August 1, 2010, and will require that interested vendors supply their own livestock to carry them to the site.
