- Description
- The Coronado National Forest, Tucson, Arizona, is soliciting quotes (RFQ) for construction services required to rebuild approximately 5 3/4 miles of four strand barbed/smooth wire fence destroyed by wildfire on the Nogales Ranger District. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, fence materials, supplies, transporation and supervision necessary to perform all work. The contractor shall be responsible for transporting materials to the site and removing and disposing of the old fencing. There are no roads in the immediate fence line construciton area. The few existing roads can be used to transport supplies, and their termini may be utilized as drop points for equipment, personnel, and livestock. NO ATVs or any other type of OHV equipment shall be allowed except on existing roads. In no case shall off-road vehicles be allowed on the fence line. This procurement is set-aside 100% for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 444190 and the size standard is 1000 employees. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. The actual solicitation will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website on or after July, 22, 2010, and may be downloaded in its entirety from this website: https://www.fbo.gov/. A guided site visit will be conducted the week of August 1, 2010, and will require that interested vendors supply their own livestock to carry them to the site.
