Description
42nd Contracting Squadron proposes to award a contract action to Citizen's Supplies Co. on a sole source basis. A firm-fixed-price contract action is anticipated. The period of performance is 30 Jul 2010 - 12 Aug 10. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers. Interested parties may provide a Statement of Capabilities to be considered by the agency. If no written responses are received by 13 Jul 10; 4:00 PM CST, the contract action will be awarded without further notice. Citizen's Supplies Co. currently supports the US Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Cadet Cultural/Language Immersion Programs. The program's goal is to broaden cadets' understanding of other cultures in an effort to produce a well-rounded officer able to engage in the international arena. The AFROTC intends for cadets to receive immersion exposure in each of the following countries: Indonesia, Egypt, Argentina, Morocco, China, Hungary, Russia and Veitnam. Cultural immersion ensures the cadets have the opportunity to receive immersion by exposing them to the local culture. All instruction for cultural immersion programs must be in English; and all language immersion instruction will be in Arabic. In both cultural immersion and language immersion programs, the cadets should be immersed in culturally significant activities for the majority of the time. These activities should include: military attaches, museums, historical sites, unique topographical features impacting the culture, significant social, ethnic and/or religious focal points, and prominent international businesses, when available. Therefore, it is imperative that Citizen's Supplies Co.'s continued support of the AFROTC Cadet Cultural/Language Immersion Programs be provided to support this mission for Czech Republic. Citizen's Supplies Co. will provide transportation, meals, lodging, physical fitness and visa processing.
