Description
This is a notice of intent to issue a contract to Cellomics Inc, 100 Technology Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15219-3138, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for Maintenance and Support Services to provide the expertise in preventive maintenance and repair of a Thermo Scientific Array Scan VTI High Content Screen Reader System and Accessories. This equipment was purchased June 30, 2009 via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and requires certified Thermo Scientific technicians to provide maintenance, install new software upgrades, troubleshoot the system, and provide training to end users. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIHAG2010135 AND THE SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AS AN NOTICE OF INTENT. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition circular (FAC 2005-18). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541711 and the small-business size standard is $500. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA) contract will continue for a period of performance for 12 months. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement; all information will be kept on file for future references.
