- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a pre-solicitation notice for Grounds Maintenance services at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Required services are commercial; therefore, FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, shall apply to this acquisition. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and services necessary to perform grounds maintenance for Fort Rucker. Services include grass mowing, edging, trimming, leaf removal, policing of debris, herbicide and pruning. This acquisition will be solicited as a Request for Proposal utilizing FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. Award will result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite-Delivery Requirements type contract. Period of Perfromance will be for a base period of 12 months and three (3) one-year option periods. This acquisition is a HUBZone small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 561730, with a corresponding Small Business Size Standard of $7 Million. A Solicitation will be issued on or about 17 August 2010. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading from the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov) and the Army Single Face to Industry web page (http://acquisition.army.mil/ under ASFI Business Opportunities.. NO PAPER COPIES WILL BE ISSUED. Each offeror is solely responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunites and the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website and downloading the solicitation, any amendments, and all related documents. To be eligible for contract award, offeror must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
