- Description: This Pre-solicitation notice is provided to inform responsible parties of the VA's intent to compete a commercial item acquisition conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. This acquisition is for the provision of licensed Cardio-Pulmonary Perfusionist Services. The Miami VA Healthcare System (VAHCS) intends to award a Fixed-Price Requirements contract to a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) capable of fulfilling the terms and conditions of the contract. The services will be provided to the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL on a per procedure basis as scheduled by the VAHCS Surgery Service. Both pre-scheduled and On-call services will be a requirement of the contract and contractor must be available within 30 minutes of notification. All contractor employees doing business with the Department of Veterans Affairs shall be the subject of a background investigation and must be credentialed at the facility where services are provided prior to providing to services. The contract period will consist of a base period of one (1) year with four (4) additional one (1) year options to extend the term of the contract at the discretion of the government. The offeror is responsible for downloading original solicitation and all amendments and other documents from the FedBizOpps website without further notices from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Miami VA Health Care System, Miami, FL. All questions and requests for clarification, if applicable, must be submitted in writing to the following email address: toni.smith5@va.gov. The Miami VAHCS expects to post the solicitation on or about July 9, 2010. Signed proposals shall scanned and be submitted to the contracting officer via e-mail no later than July 30, 2010 at 4:00 pm (EST) to toni.smith5@va.gov. Neither Fax nor Hard Copy Proposals shall be accepted.
