- This is a notice of intent to issue a contract to the University of Hawaii Systems, Research Services, 2530 Dole Street, SAK-D, Honolulu, HI 96822-2309, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for professional services to provide the expertise required to perform a pilot follow-up study on existing participants in the Hawaii Family Study of Cognition. This procurement will provide information on the availability and willingness of families to continue their participation in this study, and it will provide the only data on longitudinal familial similarities and differences in cognitive performance. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIHAG2010132 AND THE SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AS AN NOTICE OF INTENT. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition circular (FAC 2005-18). This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 611310 and the small-business size standard is $7.0. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Aging (NIA) contract will continue for a period of performance for 12 months. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
