Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine Federal Supply Schedule and Open Market business interest and capabilities for the required supplies. United States Southern Command in Miami, FL has a requirement for approximately 20,000 portable, solar and dynamo powered AM/FM radios to support on-going relief efforts in Haiti. These radios shall have the following characteristics: * AM (520-1710 KHz) & FM (87-108MHz) * Built-in white LED light source * Powered by solar and dynamo both of which charge internal Ni-MH battery * USB cell phone charger capable * 3.5 mm headphone output * Dimensions: approximately 5.25 x 2.5 x 1.75 and * 133 x 63.5 x 44.45 mm (W x H x D) * Weight: approximately 8.5 oz. and 241 g * Accessories: owners manual, warranty card written in French Firms responding should indicate whether they are, or are not, a Government certified small business (8(a), small disadvantaged business, HUBZone), or ownership and self-certified small business (such as minority -owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, or woman-owned). Any information submitted by respondents to this source sought notice is voluntary. Firms should also note whether these supplies are available on their Federal Supply Schedule. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information provided. Respondents should not construe this notice as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Responses shall be submitted electronically to the following email address: anthony.zupancic@hq.southcom.mil in a Microsoft Word compatible format.
