- Description
- Simplified Acquisition Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition. The U.S. Coast Guard intends to modify the sole source purchase order to CRL Services for Air Conditioning repairs at station Valdez, Alaska. CRL Services of Anchorage was selected to perform the initial AC inspection and repairs. Since these AC units cool the electronics that monitor the oil tanker traffic near Valdez Alaska, the repairs are urgent. It was determined that CRL Services has knowledge of the existing conditions which would result in duplication of cost to the government that would not be recovered through soliciting competition for this work. This modification is to cover additional unforeseen repairs that were discovered during initial performance.
