- The 47th Contracting Squadron at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas will be requesting proposals for the annual runway rubber removal and airfield markings/striping. The performance area is Laughlin AFB, Texas. Work will consist of removing excess rubber from runway, removing old airfield markings/striping, and repainting airfield markings/striping. This proposed acquisition is solicited as a small business set-aside. The magnitude of this requirement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 and the size standard is $33,500,000.00. This negotiated procurement will be accomplished using the Best Value Source Selection Method Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT). Evaluations of each proposal will be accomplished utilizing the submitted (a) price proposal, and (b) past performance criteria. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be available for downloading from the Internet on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Website at address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or about 3 August 2010. No hard copies will be provided. The closing date is tentatively scheduled for on or about 2 September 2010. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract and must be compliant with the VETS 100 reporting requirement. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. CCR can be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or through the Internet address: www.ccr.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
