- Description
- The scope of work consists of providing all materials, equipment, and labor to replace the two existing 378 ton water cooled chillers with two new 400 ton water cooled units, replace two chilled and two condenser water pumps, associated piping, electrical, and controls and remove the existing plate and frame heat exchanger located in Building 1103 at Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The existing plate and frame heat exchanger shall also be removed under this scope of work. Performance period is 190 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. Invitation for Bid will be available on or about 03 August 2010. Bid opening date will be on or about 02 September 2010. Construction Magnitude: Between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Invitation for Bid (IFB) will only be available electronically at the FBO website. No hardcopies, faxes, or emails will be available. Please register as a source to be notified of IFB Amendments, Clarifications, etc. However, it is the responsibility of contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information. NOTICE: Award of a contract will be in accordance with FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor received notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
