- The South Bronx Job Corps Academy is soliciting bids for Ventilation system at their facilities, located at 1771 Andrews Ave, Bronx, New York. The South Bronx Job Corps Academy is a federally funded employment training program that services approximately 200 residential and 100 non-residential trainees. The program is open year round and is operated by ResCare, Inc. for the United States Department of Labor. SCOPE OF WORK: To replace the existing dust collection system with two (2) portable dust collectors having two-stages dust collectors. The dust collectors shall have one horsepower, single phase motor/blower unit with dust /filter bag hose intake nozzles and 55 gallon drum on a wheeled base •• SAFETY AND HEALTH: All work shall be accomplished in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal disruption to the operation of the Academy. The subcontractor represents, by acceptance of any resultant agreement that they are in compliance with all regulations and standards flowing from the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (P.O. 91-596,29 USC 651 et seq.) and further that in the event hazardous materials are involved, will comply with Federal Standards No. 310 dated July 1971 to the latest change, entitled "Symbols for Packages and Containers for Hazardous Chemicals and Materials." Vendor acknowledges that by acceptance of any resultant agreement, that all work and materials used in the performance of the contract duties meet federal, state, local and OSHA regulations. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION: Interested parties should respond to the above solicitation by the COB on July 30,2010 to be eligible for award. All parties must come to the walk through on July 22, 2010 at 9am Please submit your proposal and all signed attachments via express mail or other traceable mailing method and reference the notice number on your envelope. Bidders are must come to walk through on July 22, 2010 for a visit to the site and become familiar with the physical layout of the facility where the services are to be provided.
