- Document Type: Notice of Intent to Renew Maintenance for Vivisimo Software NOI Reference Number: SSA - Renew Maintenance for Vivisimo Software Posted Date: 07/19/2010 Closing Date: 07/21/2010 Contracting Office Address Social Security Administration, Deputy Commissioner for Finance, Assessment and Management, Office of Acquisition and Grants, 7111 Security Blvd. 1st Floor, Rear Entrance Baltimore, MD, 21244-1811 NCC Social Security Administration National Computer Center 6201 Security Blvd. Baltimore, MD 21235-2000 Responses due 07/21/2010 The intent of this notification is to advise industry that SSA intends to negotiate solely with Vivisimo, Inc., 1710 Murray Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) "Soliciting from a single source" for renewal of annual maintenance for Vivisimo Content Integrator and Clustering Engine software currently licensed and used at the NCC and SCC. Vivisimo software maintenance is the only known product capable of satisfying SSA's requirement and this software maintenance is vendor specific. The anticipated contract line item number description and quantity are as follows: • CLIN 0001: Renew annual software support for Vivisimo Content Integrator and Clustering Engine software used at SSA's SCC to federate and cluster results from up to 20 internal sources for use by up to 5000 users-perpetual. QTY: 1(one) • CLIN 0002: Renew annual software support for Vivisimo Content Integrator software used at SSA's NCC to federate and cluster results from up to 20 internal sources for use by up to 5000 users-perpetual. QTY: 1(one) • CLIN 0003: Renew annual software support for Vivisimo Clustering Engine used at SSA's NCC for up to 150k documents QTY: 1(one). To best of the government's knowledge, Vivisimo, Inc. has no resellers that can supply all of the software maintenance associated with this procurement and is the only known source for this group of maintenance products. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This document does not constitute a solicitation for offers. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Pricing data is not requested or required. No contract award will be made based on responses received; however, this information will be assessed before a final determination is made. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any Government evaluation of submitted information. Any responses to this notice should be submitted electronically within 48 hours to Dennis.Failing@ssa.gov and refer to SSA Vivisimo software maintenance.
