- Special Notice Information Needed on Lack of Responses by the AE community on recent Solicitation No. W9126G-10-R-0210 The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest from various members INDUSTRY WIDE OF THE AE COMMUNITY for lack of response to the recent Solicitation NO. W9126G-10-R-0210 advertised in www.fbo.gov under NAICS Code 541330 with a size standard of $4.5 million, and posted on 5/28/2010 with responses due on 6/28/2010. All interested firms are being requested to submit information as follows: The Government is requesting that all interested AE firms INDUSTRY WIDE provide Industrys input that would increase competition on the C MultiDiscipline Design and Construction Phase Services as it relates to Design, Brooks Architect-Engineer Act, Public Law 92-582, as amended; 40 United States Code (U.S.C.) 541-544 (Appendix A) as well as Federal and Agency Acquisition Regulations. This requirement is being procured in support of Military and Civil Works Projects within the South West Region (Primarily for the Fort Worth District). Southwest Region refers to AR, AZ, CA, LA, NM, NV, OK, and TX. 1. Why did your firm not respond to the Solicitation W9126G-10-R-0210? a. Did not have the specialized experience and technical competence to meet the requirements of the solicitation. b. Did not have the experience to work on planned communities 2000 acres or larger. c. all of the above 2. Did the fact that there is an incumbent for the LDE Design impact your decision to submit a proposal against Solicitation W9126G-10-R-0210? a. Yes b. No 3. In your opinion would separating this requirement from one $95M contract into two Single Award Task Order Contracts (SATOCs), $47.5 Million each, for design services increase competition? a. Yes b. No 4. Are you familiar with the amount of Engineering and Construction that is happening in the City of El Paso, especially as it pertains to Fort Bliss? a. Yes b. No 5. Would you be willing to participate in an Industry Day to be held on Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Fort Bliss, TX to understand the requirements of the program followed by a site visit? (The Industry Day will be held on August 4th, 2010 between 8:00 am to 11:00 am. It will be held at the Community College Auditorium, 9050 Viscount Bldg. A, El Paso Community College, El Paso, TX 79925) a. Yes b. No 6. Would your firm entertain a Joint Venture or any other teaming arrangements with another firm for this requirement? a. Yes b. No 7.
