***PLEASE IGNORE NOTICE SENT TODAY REGARDING SITE VISIT SIGN-IN SHEET***THE SITE VISIT FOR THIS PROJECT WILL OCCUR AT A LATER DATE IN AUGUST 2010*** ***THIS IS THE PRE-SOLICITATION FOR THE SOURCES SOUGHT POSTING FOR PROJECT ZHTV090025AB, CONSTRUCT SOLAR ARRAY/WIND TURBINE.*** ***THIS PROPOSED ACQUISITION IS SYNOPSIZED AND NOW CLASSIFIED AS A PRE-SOLICITATION*** This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2 and 36.213-2. This proposed acquisition will be pursued as a competitive HUBZone set-aside. In order to qualify for this program, an offeror must be a certified HubZone prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The NAICS Code is 237130 and the Size Standard is $33,500,000. TITLE /DESCRIPTION: Project 090025A/B, Construct Solar Array/Wind Turbine. This project installs a demonstration project to provide a self-generating energy source for the National Museum of the United States Air Force. The systems will also provide an educational tool for visitors to the museum. Work includes the installation of a 5-kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) array and 2.4-kilowatt wind turbine and tower. The systems will include the appropriate disconnects and grid tied inverters to change the DC electricity produced by the systems into usable AC current. Also included is an energy kiosk display which includes installation of a new free standing, floor mounted kiosk with a built-in touch screen monitor and computer system. The kiosk computer system will be capable of receiving wireless data transmissions from the PV array and wind turbine. The kiosk computer system will also have the capability to tie into the available building internet service made available by the museum. The facility/area of work is occupied and open to public daily. The Air Force intends to award a contract with a period of performance of 60 days. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between: $25,000 and $100,000. In accordance with FAR 4.1102 and DFARS 252.204-704 "Required Central Contractor Registration," Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. NOTES: 1. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available on the World Wide Web on or about 22 JULY 2010 at: http://www.fbo.gov. The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 23 AUGUST 2010. The period of performance is 180 days. 2. There is no fee for this solicitation. 3. A registration page will be attached to the web site. You are not required to register. However, when you register, you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 4. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 at the time and place specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. There will not be a public opening. Sealed envelopes containing proposals shall be marked to show the offeror's name and address, the solicitation number, and the date and time proposals are due. 5. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. 6. This is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKJ) program. The current status is Pre-Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property program.
