- PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASCERTAIN WEBSITE ADDRESS TO DOWNLOAD PROJECT DOCUMENTS AND PROJECT DETAILS. The Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) intends to issue Invitation for Bid (IFB) I1720100427, Repoint Interior Bunker Hill Monument, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown, MA. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment,staging, transportation, and management necessary to repoint interior masonry joints and paint all interior metal components. Option One (1) is for the replacement of the existing steel handrail with a new stainless steel handrail. All work is at Bunker Hill Monument, Charlestown, MA. This procurement is being issued as a Total HUBZone Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238140 and the Size Standard is $14 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $250,000 - $500,000. The intended contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Work is to commence within 14 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Completion time is 120 calendar days. The solicitation including all bid documents will be posted to http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 3, 2010. The estimated date for the receipt of bids is 2:00 PM on September 3, 2010. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation plans or specifications. It is the responsibility of all offerors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. No response to this notice is necessary and no source list will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database willl render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. It is recommended that your firm register immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
