Description
The Camp Leatherneck Regional Contracting Center (RCC), Afghanistan, is conducting a full and open competition for technical support services to augment the I and II Marine Expeditionary Forces (Forward) (I MEF/II MEF (Fwd)) Command Element during their respective deployments to Afghanistan. These support services will be performed over a five-year period at designated MEF (Fwd) locations throughout Afghanistan and CONUS. Contractor employees who are not already located in Afghanistan will be required to complete pre-deployment training in CONUS, as well as in-processing in conjunction with the deployment to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR)/arrival in Afghanistan. The work performed by the contractor will include providing technical advisors in the following engineering disciplines: one (1) structual, one (1) architectural, and two (2) civil engineering technical advisors. Proposals will be evaluated using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable method authorized in FAR 15.101-2. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted to the internet on or about 22 July 2010. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the RCC. The anticipated contract type will be Firm Fixed Price. The total anticipated period of performance will be approximately 5 years and will include an 11-month base period and four 1-year options.
