- Description
- Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to complete project 607-391 "Hospital Parking Facility" at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital, Madison, WI. This project involves design and construction of an approximately 180,000 square feet, 3-level (includes one partial subterranean) parking facility with 500-600 parking spaces. Structure shall be sized to allow for future vertical expansion. Project shall include a connecting corridor from the parking structure to the 1st floor D-wing of the Wm S. Middleton VA Hospital. Work includes, but is not limited to: Professional services (geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural), general demolition and construction, interior and exterior alterations, mechanical and electrical work, control and communications, utility systems and necessary removal of existing structures. This construction project is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be a pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The solicitation will be issued on/about August 2, 2010 with proposals due on/about September 16, 2010. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $5,000,000 - $10,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 540 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award.
