- NOTICE OF DECISION TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE-SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, intends to award a single-source contact to Air Traffic Simulation, Inc. (ATSI), Edmond, Oklahoma, for technical support services to the Flight Systems Laboratory for the development, analysis, and introduction of new concepts and technologies for aircraft navication and instrument flight operations in the National Airspace System. This procurement is considered to be single-source based on the requirement of modifying, upgrading, or adding funcionalities to the ATSI-developed and proprietary-based software used in the simulation models, analysis, and visualization routines. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures.
